Progress to high-quality Nursing degrees with ONCAMPUS

There are now three fantastic options to choose at ONCAMPUS for international students looking to pursue a challenging yet rewarding career in nursing.
From September 2024, the University of Southampton and University of Sunderland will be offering Nursing as a progression degree for ONCAMPUS students completing the Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) Life Sciences pathway.
ONCAMPUS UK North
ONCAMPUS UK North was the first centre in our portfolio to offer Nursing as a progression degree. Upon successful completion of the UFP and passing the required interview, students are guaranteed progression to the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), where they can join the BSc (Hons) Nursing with Registered Nurse (Adult) degree. The programme is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
The Complete University Guide 2024 ranked UCLan 13th in the UK for Health Studies while the Times earlier this year ranked it the most affordable university in the UK, making it a fantastic value for money option for international students. Programmes at UCLan have also been awarded the highest independent quality assessment by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
Students at UCLan develop close links with healthcare providers throughout Lancashire, including NHS trusts across Preston and Flyde Coast. They receive clinical placement opportunities to gain insight into how healthcare is managed in all settings across nursing.
ONCAMPUS Southampton
International students who join ONCAMPUS Southampton in January 2024 will now have the option to progress to new Nursing degrees in September 2024: BSc Adult Nursing and BSc Mental Health Nursing.
Nursing at the University of Southampton is ranked 6th in the world, according to the QS World Rankings by Subject 2023, offering a high-quality education experience for those wishing to be part of a supportive nursing community that is shaping the future of the profession and changing patients' lives.
The programmes cover the science that underpins nursing, the evidence base behind the nurse’s role, and how nurses promote health and help people to maintain well-being. Students will develop knowledge of how to meet person-centred care needs, and high-level skills in decision making and managing complexity across a broad range of healthcare environments. Students will understand health needs within a global context and be responsive and inclusive towards marginalised groups, and understand the challenges and opportunities offered by a globalised nursing workforce.
The School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton houses fantastic facilities for learning, including simulated hospital wards and a health services library in partnership with University Hospital Southampton and the NHS. Students also benefit from a wide range of placements in both the NHS and private practice during their studies, to best prepare them for nursing practice in their chosen field(s).

ONCAMPUS Sunderland
The third option for international students looking to kickstart their career in nursing is ONCAMPUS Sunderland, in partnership with the University of Sunderland in the North East of England. Via the Life Sciences pathway of the UFP, ONCAMPUS students who join in January 2024 will have multiple exciting progression options with the University of Sunderland in September:
This wide variety of progression degrees means ONCAMPUS graduates can begin studying for their specific field of interest immediately upon joining the degree programme. All programmes are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and students are guaranteed registration with them upon successful completion of their Nursing degrees.
The world-class facilities at the University of Sunderland are designed to promote interprofessional learning and give students the opportunity to collaborate with students from other disciplines within the University to simulate the real-life experience as closely as possible. Alongside the integrated theory and practice teaching style of the teachers, this gives Nursing students at the University of Sunderland a fantastic education to prepare them for their future careers as the next generation of nurses.
These teaching and learning facilities include Helen McArdle House, which houses a mock hospital ward and a variety of suites such as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Suite. Other facilities include a training ambulance and a mock Children’s Ward. The Sciences Complex has benefitted from a multi-million-pound investment in recent years and is now home to the groundbreaking Living Lab. Based within the Living Lab is the Immersive Suite, a unique simulation room where Nursing and Midwifery students can practice a range of scenarios in a safe, simulated, realistic environment.
