Loughborough University shines in 2024 university rankings!

The Complete University Guide (CUG) and Guardian University Guide (GUG) have released their university rankings for 2024, and we are delighted to be able to share some fantastic placements for our partner, Loughborough University.

For the eighth consecutive year, CUG has ranked Loughborough in the top 10 of UK universities (2017 – 2024). This overall university score is matched by the Guardian, with Loughborough placing in the top 10 in their yearly rankings too.

As well as the University ranking highly institutionally, last month Loughborough was also awarded triple gold in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework. This is the highest accolade possible from TEF 2023, which considers all aspects of student experience at the university – from the quality of teaching to the support offered to students to student progression during and after their education. Loughborough University has achieved gold ranking overall, as well as in student experience and student outcomes. You can watch Loughborough's video celebrating this achievement below:

Many Loughborough courses have also placed high on the UK university league tables from CUG and GUG for 2024, especially for the Arts and other creative programmes. Loughborough University holds its 1^st place position for Fashion & Textiles from the GUG last year, also ranking 2^nd for Graphic Design and 3^rd for Fine Art. The CUG 2024 rankings also place Art & Design in the top 5 in the UK.

Media & Film Studies also maintains its GUG ranking from last year, remaining in 3^rd place in the UK. Meanwhile, Communication & Media Studies has increased from 4^th to 1^st place according to the CUG.

Rankings for the Sciences are also impressive this year, with Physics and Chemistry both placing in the top 10 and Biology ranking #14, according to the GUG. Sports Science is once again a highlight, remaining in GUG’s top 5 and climbing to 1^st place in the CUG rankings.
