Introducing "ONCAMPUS in 10" webinar series

Wed 25 Nov 2020

We’re proud to launch our NEW "ONCAMPUS in 10" webinar series. Short, digestible videos that give you an opportunity to hear from our University partners, learn more about different subjects and upcoming careers, and join the conversation on all things international education!

We start this series with our partner, the University of Reading and its School of Arts. Our presenters will introduce you to the School, the disciplines of Art, Typography and Graphic Design, and Film, Television and Theatre. Enjoy!

School of Arts and Communication Design

Professor Susanne Clausen, School Director of Internationalisation.

Susanne is an artist, curator and Professor of Fine Art. As an educator she has also established international partnerships including an active Asian Universities Art network with universities in Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai.

Department of Typography and Graphic Design

Mr James Lloyd, Lecturer in Professional Practice Design.

Prior to becoming a lecturer, James was a practising designer and design manager for 15 years, with a focus on branding, information design, and design project management. His roles in the Department include running the Real Jobs professional practice scheme, in which students take on live briefs for real clients – right from the first year of study!

Film, Television and Theatre

Dr Adam O’Brien, Lecturer in Film.

In 2018, Adam published Film and the Natural Environment: Elements and Atmospheres (Wallflower/Columbia), an introduction to the study of environmental dynamics and subjects in narrative cinema. A number of his current and future research projects turn towards the subject of infrastructure, or "built ecology", in film and beyond.
