About the Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme & International Medical Commencement Programme (IMCP)
The Medicine Undergraduate Foundation (MUFP) is a one-year (3-term) programme at OnCampus UK North which offers successful students a pathway to study medicine at a range of university partners.
Students will typically study 3 — 4 subjects, as well as English Language. One of the most important requirements for university entry is English language level. As well as filling any academic gaps, English language is critical for success.
The International Medical Commencement Programme (IMCP) is a two semester medical foundation programme accredited by Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) and delivered at MTU in Ireland. After completion of the IMCP students can progress to Medicine and other Allied Heath Programmes. Students are guaranteed a place at:
RCSI to study Medicine
MTU to study Nursing
University of Galway to study Medicine, Nursing, or Podiatric Medicine.
The programme has two components:
English Language Training and Cultural Adaptation skills and RCSI/NUI accredited Certificate in Biomedical Sciences.

This programme includes four core modules that are taken by all students throughout the course. These modules are: Medical Biology, Chemistry for Medicine, Pure Maths with Statistics and English.
Students will also study a Medicine Skills module, which will support your application to medical schools and help prepare you for your progression interview.
