My ONCAMPUS Course is ‘with Integrated CAS’ – what does it mean?
This programme is set at RQF level 6 (IY1) and your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) will be issued by the University of Sunderland to cover the full duration of your degree. You will still be required to meet all the progression requirements after your ONCAMPUS programme to be admitted onto subsequent year(s) of the degree. On successful completion of your ONCAMPUS programme and for progression onto subsequent years of the degree programme, you will not need to re-apply for a Visa.
How long will I study for?
International Year One with Integrated CAS
The duration of the ONCAMPUS Course is one academic year, followed by 2 years of study delivered by the University of Sunderland. Whilst studying with ONCAMPUS, your year is divided into three terms of approximately 10 weeks per term. You will undertake a minimum of 17 (and up to a maximum of 23) hours* of classroom-based study per week. Full details on modules, dates and fees for IY1 with Integrated CAS can be found here.
*please note that minimum and maximum hours are estimated, hours may vary depending on the student’s academic and English level and may be adjusted throughout their course.
What will I study?
Depending on your programme, you will study an integrated timetable of academic and English language modules.
The ONCAMPUS course will allow you to improve your English while learning the study skills and research methods that you will need during your degree studies. For a full description of the modules, please visit our International Year One page.
Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours.
View the full list of progression degrees available through iCAS.
How will I be assessed?
Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate term. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and will allow you to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in the University environment. Assessments will include project work, essays, reports, presentations and written examinations.
