I decided to study in the UK as the UK education system is considered one of the best. The teachers here are very nice and helpful, they always take the time to explain the course and subjects very well. The English term has definitely helped me improve my language skills and to make me feel more confident when starting my degree. There are lots of different nationalities here too, so I have discovered new cultures and met new people. The University campus and city are close together so everything is near. When I finish my degree I would like to go into physiotherapy and work in Europe or UK.

My English has improved a lot since I have been studying here, because you’re constantly talking and communicating with people, and doing this course means I have learnt different terminology, which has really helped.

Having a personal tutor is amazing. He’s really good at giving me tips and this course is really pushing me forward to university level later on.

关闭 I’m studying Media, Law, Psychology and English on my UFP.  The academic modules give me knowledge for specific subjects and a good basis for my degree programme.  My English classes have really helped with the skills I will need on my degree course, such as note-taking and writing skills.
 
I LOVE the library.  There are all the books I need and so many computers.  It is a great place to work; so cosy and comfortable and open 24/7.   I’m enjoying my time in Preston, and life is much calmer than where I was living in Moscow.  I was really surprised that people smiled at me in the street and now I smile more!

ONCAMPUS is great for overseas students whose English is not perfect in the first year. It’s a good place to study English and learn how to study in the UK.

Guaranteed progression is very important because it makes sure I have a place at UCLan next year.

I have visited the business school that I will be attending next year and it was awesome. I can’t wait to study there!

"I was directed to this course by UCLan University to improve my English and my academics to study BA (Hons) Sports Coaching. I spoke to a representative from ONCAMPUS who was so helpful and I felt that I could trust her advice.

I wanted to study in the UK as it is the best destination in the world for study. It is a good change for me as life in Greece was testing and I know I can get a great education here. This course has helped me to progress not only academically but socially too.

I feel that I am able to ask questions and I am given help which is only going to benefit me in the future. I have been able to learn the style of university and adapt ready for my undergraduate degree.

Studying at ONCAMPUS is great because it’s changed my way of thinking about studying. There’s a big difference between studying here and when I was back home.

My English is improving with time. The courses I’m on and the environment I’m in are helping, especially with my speaking.

When you have a personal tutor, you can go and sit with them and tell them whatever you need to help with your studies, and they will help without hesitation.

The MFP here is a very good course. I’ve tried general English course before and they were very different. Here we take everything seriously and I have the opportunity to focus on the things that I want to practice.  At the moment that is PowerPoint presentations and research methods, neither of which I learnt on my undergraduate degree.
 
The fact that progression to my degree is guaranteed from UCLan ONCAMPUS is a relief for me. It means you can focus on improving yourself and not have to worry about what will happen next year as I know what I am doing when I successfully complete the MFP.  After my Master’s I plan to return to my job with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund.

I chose UCLan because Media and International Journalism is ranked well. The staff at ONCAMPUS have been really kind and helpful and will answer any questions that you have. Our modules are really indepth and the teaching quality is high. I see my personal tutor every week to check on my grades and progress to make sure I’m on track. Once I finish my degree I hope to go into business or media and work for the BBC or ITV. UCLan is a really nice place to study and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

At ONCAMPUS UCLan I have been able to get along with lots of people from lots of different nationalities. The teaching style here is more interactive between the teachers and the class, they will always help us when we have a problem. I’ve made lifelong friends here and I really enjoy getting to know the different cultures. When I finish my degree I would like to become a police inspector, I would also like to go travelling and see other parts of the world. ONCAMPUS UCLan has been an amazing experience and has helped me prepare for my future and meet so many people from around the world.

Guaranteed progression is good for me because I know that I have something waiting for me when I finish my studies - it motivates me.

The courses offered at ONCAMPUS are beneficial to me in terms of my chosen degree, and the staff are very helpful – and they’re young, so you can relate to them.

My English was OK when I started, but has improved a lot, especially my written grammar.

I’ve had a lot of help since I started here with things like accommodation and with my visa application, which has been really important.

If I could describe ONCAMPUS in one sentence, I would say it’s an experience I won’t forget with people that I will never forget.

"I have heard about the UK education system and was recommended ONCAMPUS to bridge the gap between going to university and the level of study I achieved in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a fast paced country and the education system is quite tough.

I chose UCLan because Physiotherapy is highly ranked in the UK and is very popular. I have met people from other nations and learnt new subjects such as psychology which I didn’t study in Hong Kong.

I have been given support by staff at ONCAMPUS with my reference and application to university. In my spare time I attend different groups and societies at the university such as Japanese and Dance society.

I enjoy the atmosphere and living in Preston – I'm really enjoying my time here."

I already knew I wanted to study Medicine of some kind so the ONCAMPUS UCLan Medicine Foundation was perfect for me and the length of study in the UK was shorter than in other countries I looked at. It also meant I could chose a different pathways at the end of the course if I wanted to. The teachers here are very different, the information is more applied compared to in Nigeria so it has been much better. My biology classes are really interactive, and the teachers take their time to answer questions so that you understand. Preston is quiet and the people here are really friendly and I have made friends with many students from different countries. When I finish my degree I would like a job within Forensic Science either in the UK or another country.

"ONCAMPUS has made me feel ready to progress onto my degree in sports therapy, The teachers are supportive and help me when I need it.

I see my personal tutor every 2 weeks, I am able to talk about anything and ask questions if I need to. 

I have travelled a lot since I have been here, I enjoyed visiting Manchester United stadium, the Trafford Centre and China Town. In Preston I mainly go shopping and go out with friends.
 
ONCAMPUS is a good place for those who are not ready to go to University. You can study to prepare yourself for University."

"Before I came to study here at ONCAMPUS I was working for Microsoft in Singapore. I heard about UCLan’s great facilities such as the media centre. I really wanted to study where I have access to the best.

The Master’s Foundation Programme is very good, I especially like the modules focusing on research methods. This is what I need for my Master’s. The staff are so helpful, If I ever have a question they always take time out to support me.

I get a lot of teaching and time with my tutors, I learn something new everyday.

I have taken part in the trips run by the ONCAMPUS team, they have been really fun."

In my opinion, the UK is the best country for education, I wanted to improve my education so I could do the same in my home country by learning from others. There is a nice community feel here at ONCAMPUS, the people are very friendly and always there to help. I have learnt new skills which will be very beneficial to me when progressing to my chosen degree and career. The city of Preston is not that big, however, there is enough to do so that you can socialise with your friends. I would recommend ONCAMPUS UCLan because it’s a very friendly environment where you can learn many new things.

The teachers here are very friendly and they help us a lot.

Most of us feel nervous, but the teachers help us feel comfortable with the new environment in the UK. Tutors and students are like friends, so it’s really easy to talk to each other.

My English has improved a lot. When I first started, my IELTS score was around 5.0, but after one semester, I can easily pass 7.0.
