My name is Sweta and I'm from India and I'm currently doing the Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme in ONCAMPUS UK North.

Personally I like a student-oriented city and Preston is one of the places which had a lot of students. It also has things pretty near, you don't have to travel far to get anything. Also I like the fact that it's in between Manchester and Liverpool. It's easier to go both ways. It also has a diverse community and it's pretty safe, since it's always surrounded by students and the different cultures that are over here, so it's a good place to be in.

So I like the fact that they have good tutors, who are always there to help you and they want to help you with everything they can. So I would definitely recommend them in terms of having good teachers and good academic styles of teaching and making you progress. We have revision sessions and I think one thing that I liked a lot is them reaching out to us very quickly, like any question we had they would come to us as soon as possible. I liked the recap quizzes, so it's like a booster so that was a way to keep you in check, if you understood the topic or if you had any problems. And the fact that had discussions where you could communicate with other people in your course, so that is something I really like.

The interview was different from from the normal we didn't have MMI's, we had a panel interview. The process of practicing the interview I think started from the second term, where my tutor started introducing us to topics like euthanasia the NHS and GMC and stuff. So they told us how to answer questions and what it should be based on. So there was a lot of help from the tutors. It wasn't hard for me because of the practice that I got from the teachers and I also had time to practice personally with another person, trying to answer questions and see how I can balance them by not being judgmental but actually giving a good answer. It was quite a good experience, although I was nervous at first.

First thing was introducing us to topics that we could encounter in the questions as I said NHS values GMC and euthanasia, like normal topics and we also had mock interviews, where we got feedback and that was the best one because the teacher gave me feedback from every single thing I said and what I could improve on and what I missed so that helped me a lot.

I think getting into med school because ONCAMPUS was, actually I don't think I'll forget because this is my journey to getting into med school, so I'll always remember them and right now I've got one foot in by passing my interview, so I'm still getting help from ONCAMPUS to pass my exams, getting support from the tutors, so I think I'd be the most proud if I get into med school completely after passing the exams.
