I'm Audrey, I'm Cameroonian and right now I'm an international student at UMAS Lowell.

I chose ONCAMPUS Boston program because I was coming from Africa to United States for the first time. So I know I needed some academic support, as well as some everyday support.

The OCB team helped me a lot with the transfer process. They helped me to find a school that would best fit my requirements, looking at the major, the ranking and everything, so I didn't feel alone. I learned a lot from the transfer class first I didn't know anything about how the transfer was supposed to work. I learned about the Common App, the importance of recommendation letter.

During the one-to-one advising, there is your moment, it's just you and the advisor. So at that moment I feel like okay I can say whatever I want. I can ask whatever I want. If I don't want maybe my classmate to know that cost matters to me or that location matters to me, or whatever, this is the moment I can say. I don't feel judged, I just feel like this advisor just want to help me, so this is my moment. I really like it because I really was feeling free during the advising session.

So the college life was really new, I mean, everything was new. The country was new, the continent was new. I had a lot of support from the OCB team during, for example, like the advising session. They were really all supportive, even like, during weekends when I felt down, Azumi was there. She was always there. So that really helped me to actually manage my college life.

I would say, use the OCB team. Use them. I did, I used them. I'm sure sometime they were tired, they were like, oh her email again? Her message again? Use them, use them, because they are there for you. They are there to support you, just ask them. Azumi, she's always there, Joe is really supportive, Brian, he's supportive. So just ask them, just know they are there to help you if you feel down, if you have any problem, it doesn't matter if it's personal or whatever, if you want to talk to someone, they are there. They are there to help you reach your goal, work hard, give your best and yeah that's what I can say.
