CSUMB students enjoy smaller classes, enthusiastic professors, and a diverse student body from all over the world. And as one of the 23 campuses in the California State University, the largest 4-year public system in the U.S., CSUMB has access to comprehensive academic resources while maintaining a flexible, intimate, small school feel.
What do you like to do?
CSUMB has it all — athletics, camping trips, clubs, concerts, karaoke, plays, speakers, and much more. Or maybe you just want to relax with some friends. Or ride your bike to the beach. It’s all there. It’s up to you. There’s no shortage of options.
The university has more than 80 student clubs and organizations, representing interests from animé to men’s volleyball. Some are cultural, some athletic, some political, some academic, and some purely social. Plus, new clubs form every year — so if you don’t see a group you want to join, you can always start your own!

At the Otter Cycle Center, you can rent, store, or repair your bike. Biking is a great way to get around campus, and it makes trips to the beach a breeze. It can even be your main mode of transportation around town!
