ONCAMPUS Aston Graduate Diploma

The ONCAMPUS Aston Graduate Diploma is a three-term, Level 6 programme designed to equip students with the knowledge, critical thinking, linguistic and academic skills to be successful on an Aston University Postgraduate taught degree. You will study six academic modules alongside English and Postgraduate Skills Development. On successful completion, ONCAMPUS students can progress to a range of postgraduate degrees at Aston University. 

You will study your programme at our embedded academic centre located at the heart of Aston University campus, with access to the University facilities including the library and Students Union.

The ONCAMPUS Aston Graduate Diploma is a three-term programme. It offers you guaranteed progression* to a range of highly ranked degrees at Aston University.

Who is this programme designed for?

This programme is designed to prepare and equip international students with the skills and knowledge required for postgraduate study in the UK. The Graduate Diploma will bridge the gap between your Diploma and postgraduate study, whilst allowing you to improve your English and gain the study skills that you will need during your postgraduate degree studies. You will also study academic modules relating to your chosen progression route.

How long will I study for?

The programme lasts either 3 or 4 academic terms of approximately 10 weeks per term. The weekly hours of study vary depending on a student's individual academic and English level but may be up to 24 hours per week. 

English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable. Itis compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects. Please ask in-centre if you need additional, personal English support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.

Students will be expected to timetable their own self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours.

Please note: Minimum and maximum hours are estimated, hours may vary depending on the student’s academic and English level and may be adjusted throughout their course.

How will I be assessed?

Each module will have an assessment schedule for each term. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow you to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in UK postgraduate programmes.

All programmes are subject to a £300 registration fee and a £2,200 deposit which is offset against the last term's fees.
