Earning a degree from a U.S. college is recognised globally as a distinctive achievement. As an international student, you will need a student visa to begin studying in the U.S.

As part of the visa application process, you must take part in a face to face interview that will last approximately five minutes. If you don't attend the interview, your visa application will automatically be rejected. If you cannot make the appointment for any reason, you must contact the visa office to reschedule.

There are some sample questions that you may be asked during your interview, but you could be asked about anything in your application. Therefore, it is important to be prepared and practice.

Being knowledgeable about the school you will be attending is vital. Browse the school website, get to know details such as the school mascot, location, motto, degree courses, careers and so on.

One of the main objectives of the interview is to test your English language, so make sure you answer in English and do not use a translator.

If you are unsure about any questions, please make sure you ask for clarification.

So remember, attend your interview, practice beforehand and be prepared. Learn about your U.S. college, speak English and ask questions if you are unsure.

We look forward to welcoming you to the U.S.
