“I learn culture in the UK as a hobby.  I usually go out with my friends to visit famous places and learn the history of the UK”.
 
When Mai Van Tung first arrived in the UK he said he faced a lot of challenges such as finding accommodation, opening a bank account, the traffic and the food!  But he says the ONCAMPUS staff were really supportive, friendly and patient and his tutor always gives him advice of what to do so he can now really enjoy his time in London.

"I previously studied my A Levels before coming to ONCAMPUS. My brother recommended this course to me as a previous student. I have wanted to study in London since a young age; I have never been to the UK before so it was a dream. I love studying in London there is so much to do, the transport is good so I can get around easily.
 
I have visited the national museum and regularly go to the local park when I have time. I played hockey for the national team in Sri Lanka so I’m glad I can still carry this on as I am a part of the London South Bank university team. It is a lot of fun and I get to practise the English language a lot more.
 
The university accommodation is cost effective, and is close to campus so it is good for me as I can get around easily.
 
This course has encouraged me to well; the teachers are really good and take time to explain if you need it. These are the happiest days of my life because I can feel success academically, in sports and in life."

“Before I came to the UK I lived in South Africa and I completed my Grade 12 there and then I started a degree in Construction Management at the University of South Africa.

My parents thought it would be good for me to come and study in London.

I like the education here, they focus on what we need to know for our degree. The teachers and students are very respectful of each other.

“I studied at high school in Dubai, and did a foundation programme at University in Dubai.

I wanted to study in the UK because degrees from the UK are very well respected in Dubai.

I like all the buildings being close together at LSBU, I don’t have to travel far to get to all the facilities, everything here is on one campus – the LRC, the sports centre and the library.

ONCAMPUS prepared me very well for my degree, a lot of my classmates are struggling because they didn’t have this good preparation.”

Before coming to the UK, I finished my High School in Kuwait.

A friend of mine recommended that I come here to this ONCAMPUS.

When I finished my foundation programme I progressed to LSBU to study Business Management.

I like the weather and the mixed culture in London. The staff and the teachers make it a nice place to learn.

When I finish my degree I will go home to help my father run his business.

I have wanted to study in the UK from a young age as the education system is regarded very highly around the world. ONCAMPUS London South Bank is in a central location, and I have access to all the facilities I need on campus. The library is great – it has really helped with my research projects and portfolio. The feedback from staff and students on my projects has given me confidence and developed my skills. I would recommend to all international students.

Saruul believes the combination of Maths, Business Studies and IELTS on her Foundation programmes was very good preparation to guarantee her successful progression on to the first year of her degree.  In particular, the fact she prepared for and took the IELTS external examination meant she felt ready to study alongside her British classmates on the degree. 
 
Saruul feels that her time at ONCAMPUS also helped her become familiar with London life and she is now living in the new business and finance district of London, in Canada Water, and has made contacts in the business world through the alumni meetings that her faculty arrange to meet recently graduated students from LSBU who are working in the industry.

London is very beautiful and has a very interesting history. I think I can not only improve my English, I can improve my theoretical knowledge as well.

“When I started my course I saw all the facilities available to me and I have really enjoyed using them. The library is excellent, and has helped me with my coursework, the computers and books are always available for me to use.

I am part of the LSBU tennis team and I will hopefully join the Cricket team as well.

I studied UFP Engineering at ONCAMPUS and it really prepared me well for LSBU. The teachers were really clear and made sure I was confident with everything I learnt.

The multinational culture in London is good for opportunities and networking.

Close “I am living in university accommodation and share a flat with university students from Malaysia and Greece who are studying their Master’s degrees.  We talk a lot, usually in the kitchen, and my speaking and listening have really improved.”
 
 After graduating from the University of St Joseph in Macau in Marketing, Rachel came to LSBU as she was interested in specialising in Human Resource Management.  She really appreciates the individual attention she gets from her teachers in her small MFP classes of 5 or 6 students.  Rachel was nervous about doing presentations in class, but as she says “Practice makes perfect”, and she feels that these, and the research methods work is she is doing, will be good preparation for her Master’s degree.

Before ONCAMPUS LSBU I was studying Science and Art at High School in Turkey. My friend recommended studying in the UK so I contacted an Agency who explained my options; I decided this was the best course for me as the Architecture programme is accredited and highly regarded and the facilities on offer at LSBU are great. The centre is located in the middle of London and it has many inspirational old buildings, museums and exhibitions to visit which has inspired my work. I am currently living in the David Bomberg accommodation which is great being only 5 minutes away from the campus. The best thing about this programme is the teachers give a lot of feedback on the presentations and portfolio work which is really helpful to improve your work. It takes 8 years to qualify to become an Architect, so this programme is the beginning of my journey but I hope that I can open my own architectural practice once I am qualified and have international experience.
