Lund University and our changing world

Our world is changing. Increasingly, we need to face the challenges of creating a sustainable future for everyone. Lund University’s Sustainability Week 2017 will see students, researchers and the public come together to discuss sustainability, and what role society can play in moving towards a more sustainable future.

Founded in 1666 and inaugurated in 1668, Lund University has a rich and captivating history. When it was founded it had only four faculties; theology, law, medicine, and philosophy. Since then, the university has expanded considerably with a number of faculties specialising in areas in humanities, engineering, science and social sciences.
