Undergraduate Foundation Programme
I chose to study at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam because the University of Amsterdam is one of the best, and most vibrant universities in the world.
Amsterdam is a safe city and because of the central location in Europe you can easily travel to other cities. Everybody speaks English to a high level so it is easy to speak with other Dutch people and they are very friendly. I have made lots of friends during the Undergraduate Foundation Programme from different parts of the world.
I decided to study at ONCAMPUS to prepare myself for the BSc Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam. Based on my experience, I would recommend the Undergraduate Foundation Programme to international students who want to enter the University of Amsterdam.
PPLE stood out to me as a specialist course with a combination of modules that I was interested in. International Relations is my favourite subject as I enjoy learning about politics and social sciences in an international context. After my degree I would like to go into research, for instance, looking at voting behaviour and the mix between psychology and politics. I would absolutely recommend this course – you will need to work hard but it is a lively and easy going campus with everything you need to succeed!
I have relatives who live in the Netherlands and they recommended that I study at the University of Amsterdam as it is a world top 100 university. The teachers at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam are really supportive and friendly, they are always happy to help and want you to get the best out of your studies. The facilities are brilliant, we have access to libraries across the city and they have long open hours which has really helped me to meet deadlines. It has been a fun experience and I hope it continues when I start my degree next year.
The University of Amsterdam is one of the best universities in the world and is well-known for its good reputation. I discovered during my high school that I was interested in business subjects and therefore I wanted to specialize in this area by studying at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam to prepare myself for the BSc Economics and Business degree.
I would like to stand out from the crowd for my future career, because I will not only have a prestigious degree from a high-ranked university, but I have also learned to be independent, discovered the Dutch culture and made lots of friends of different nationalities. The majority in Amsterdam speak English to a high level, which makes it easy to find your way in the city. I am pleased with my decision to join ONCAMPUS Amsterdam because it prepares me very well before I start my degree BSc Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam.
I wanted to study abroad to live independently and to enter a good university, so that when I graduate I can find a good job. I chose the University of Amsterdam because it is one of the highest ranked universities in the world and the best university in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands is a great destination for international students because the quality of education is high and the living costs and tuition fees are relatively low. The majority of the Dutch citizens also speak English to a high level, so it is not a problem if you cannot speak Dutch. At the same time, Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands so it offers everything you will need; there are many museums, canals and bicycles. The location is also central in Europe so you can easily travel to other cities too.
ONCAMPUS Amsterdam provides an excellent route for students who would like to enter the University of Amsterdam.
I wanted to study in the Netherlands and choose the University of Amsterdam because it is one of the highest ranked universities in the world and the best university in the Netherlands according to the QS World University Rankings (2013-14).
An advantage of studying here is that the tuition fees and the living costs are lower than in many other English speaking countries. Studying in Amsterdam means that you will study in an international city where the majority speak English to a high level, which makes it easy to settle down. The atmosphere in Amsterdam is really nice, there are lots of parks and canals.
After I finish the Undergraduate Foundation Programme, I would like to complete the BSc Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam and continue in a Master’s degree or work in the Netherlands. After graduating from the bachelor degree I will have the opportunity to stay for 12 months to find work.
I would like to recommend ONCAMPUS Amsterdam to other students who would like to enter one of the best universities in the world, the University of Amsterdam.
ONCAMPUS Amsterdam offers a small scale study environment with lots of teaching time. There is a lot of attention and guidance on an individual level, and the tutors and support staff are helpful, friendly and very approachable.
Since I arrived here, I can already notice improvement in my English skills and I have gained more knowledge in the business and economics subjects. It is very convenient that while studying the Undergraduate Foundation Programme our lessons are on campus, so we already access all university facilities. Amsterdam is also a vibrant and safe city and has lots of international students, so it is the perfect study destination.
I have become more independent since I arrived in Amsterdam. It was a good decision to study at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam because it allowed me time to get adapted to the new environment.
Dutch people are very friendly and helpful so I am really enjoy living in the Netherlands. Amsterdam is a great city to study in and there are many international students. In my spare time I like to travel to other Dutch cities or go to one of the museums in Amsterdam, for example the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museums.
The University of Amsterdam is a very good university and I feel that I am being prepared well to enter the BSc Economics and Business after the Undergraduate Foundation Programme at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam .
I wanted to study at the University of Amsterdam as it is one of the best universities in the world and I wanted to challenge my thoughts and understanding. I have made a lot of friends here from a range of nationalities. I live in The Student Hotel in the city, all foundation students live on the same floor so there are lots of events and we cook together all the time. My advice to anyone looking to study here is to take the opportunities and study hard! After completing my degree I would like to study on a Master’s programme in Amsterdam.
I chose to study in the Netherlands as I wanted to study at a Top 100 university in a multicultural city. The degree programme is very affordable and the University is based in the heart of a beautiful city with lots to do. ONCAMPUS has been the best choice – I was supported by staff to help me settle in and I have developed my academic knowledge and confidence. I feel better prepared and it has been one of the best years of my life here.
ONCAMPUS Amsterdam helped me to get used to the university teaching style and I was able to improve my confidence in all subjects relating to the degree programme. My favourite assignment so far has been creating a business plan – I hope to become a business consultant so this is great experience for me. I am living in university managed accommodation and my room is within walking distance from the University of Amsterdam. The best thing that I like about my accommodation is that I am living with students from different countries who are studying many different degrees in Amsterdam.
The University of Amsterdam has a great reputation and is a world top university. I wanted to study in central Europe in a cultural city so that’s why I decided ONCAMPUS Amsterdam was the best option for me. I feel safe here and as a student we have access to the International Student Network, who really supported me to settle into life here. My favourite thing about studying with ONCAMPUS is the staff; they are very caring and give feedback and support to make sure you get the highest grades possible.
I enjoy studying at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam and living as an international student in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a beautiful city with a rich history and many art galleries, film festivals, exhibitions and beautiful architecture. It is a relatively small city but at the same time it is the capital city in the Netherlands, hence you can find everything you need in the city. Amsterdam also lies centrally in Europe making it easy to travel within Europe.
I decided to study at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam because after finishing my high school, I could enter the BSc Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam via the pathway offered at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam. The Undergraduate Foundation Programme offers subjects that fit with the degree and therefore I will feel more prepared when I start the degree.
I enjoy studying in an international environment and feel that my communication and views have expanded and I have grown a lot as a person. I like to go to concerts and to the Keukenhof gardens – it’s a great place to relax amidst our busy timetable. The foundation programme is challenging but very rewarding and I feel prepared for my first year at the University of Amsterdam.
I always wanted to study abroad to explore opportunities and I was looking for an international destination within Europe. I decided to study at the University of Amsterdam via ONCAMPUS Amsterdam because it is one of the highest ranked universities in the world and is located in the capital city of the Netherlands.
Since I arrived in Amsterdam, I have made lots of friends and I have also done some sightseeing in Amsterdam. There are many museums and historic buildings; it is a truly beautiful city. I also love the Dutch cheese and milk!

This award has motivated me to study even more at FoundationCampus as well as during my degree. During my high school I discovered my interests in Economics, so I wanted to specialise in this subject in another country. The University of Amsterdam is one of highest ranked universities in the world with a
well-known reputation, so I decided to study at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam to enter the BSc Economics and Business.
I feel that the Undergraduate Foundation Programme is really preparing me for the degree. The class sizes are relatively small and we receive lots of individual attention from our tutors. We can also make use of all the modern facilities of the University of Amsterdam, such as the library, student canteen and computers.
Through the optional Dutch classes, I have learned a few basic Dutch words and I even made Dutch friends! I would definitely recommend this programme to other students.
My friends recommended that I study at the University of Amsterdam and because I could not enter direct the BSc Economics and Business, I decided to study at ONCAMPUS Amsterdam.
I really appreciate all the support that I receive from my tutors and from the support staff . I especially find the personal tutorial very useful.
Amsterdam is a very safe and beautiful city to live, almost everybody speaks English to a high level and everybody is very friendly. I am living in university managed accommodation and the quality of my room is very high. It is walking distance from the university and the room is spacious, so it offers good value.
So far I have made lots of friends from many different countries and I am looking forward to starting my degree at the University of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is the perfect student destination. It is a relatively small city so easy to go around by bicycle. It is a multicultural city and I can easily find shops where they sell food from many different areas in the world. I also like the typical Dutch food such as the famous cheese.
